A classic display of camogie was show cased in An Port Mór Armagh on Saturday evening between Monaghan and Tyrone in the Ulster Junior Camogie Championship Final.

Offaly Juniors travelled to Cooley Kickams Co Louth to play Antrim in the League Final Replay and after a fantastic game of end to end camogie were unlucky to loose out on a scoreline of Offaly 3-10 and Antrim 6-11.

Roscrea GAA grounds was basking in glorious sunshine on Sunday April 27th when these both teams took to the field to do battle for a place in the Munster Final.

Congratulations to Lucan Sarsfields and Eve Talbot on a superb Social Inclusion Day last week.

130 children from eight schools representing 27 different nationalities gathered in Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club yesterday to learn the skills of Camogie along with President of the Camogie Association, Liz Howard and Cllr. Derek Keating, Deputy Mayor of South Dublin.

Premier Cup, Premier Shield and Mid Ulster League Results

 There are two Clare teams in action next weekend with the National League Division 2 Final and the Munster Intermediate Competition also down for decision.

The Dublin U14 and 16 teams had to settle for second best against Kilkenny over the week-end with U16 side going down narrowly to the Cats in the Leinster Final replay at Trinity Gaels Grounds.

The captains of Kilkenny, Galway, Derry and Clare met in Dublin ahead of this weekend’s Camogie National League Finals. Kilkenny take on Galway in the Division 1 decider in Nowlan Park on Saturday, while Derry will play Clare in the Division 2 Final.

On Wednesday April 16th over 230 1st and 2nd year secondary school girls from the South East assembled on Waterford Crystal Sports Grounds to take part in Spórt agus Spraoi na Coláisti 2008.

On Saturday the 12th of April, the newly formed Feale Gaels Camogie Club held a Fun Day in Listowel Emmets GAA grounds.

DOUGLAS 1-9 ROCKBAN 1-8

A battle to the finish but in the end Douglas just about hung out to take the 2007 Senior B league title to complete the B double for 2007 in Ballinlough on Wednesday last. A very determined Rockban side who many had pencilled in to be county champions last season made the team who will participate in Senior A for 2008 fight all the way before the double was secured and on their performance they will be formidable opponents for anybody in the season ahead.

St Brenda’s Camogie Club Ballymacnab had a highly enjoyable and successful 40th Anniversary Gala Night in Armagh City Hotel on Saturday night past. Almost 350 guests had a great evening’s entertainment and joined in the clubs honouring of the 1968 team who started it all off 40 years ago. Also honoured on the night were the six surviving members of the girls who played camogie for the Ballymacnab and Foley teams back in the late 1930’s.

Young Camogie players from eight counties joined Liz Howard, President of the Camogie Association, and David Gunning, CEO of Coillte, to launch this year’s Coillte U-14 Development Squads in Croke Park today.

The draws for Cork Feile Na NGael Division 1 and 2 competitions were  held recently and the competiton will take place on the weekend of April 26th / 27th.

These two sides served up a great game of camogie in Bodyke on Sunday morning.

Last Sunday Waterford travelled to the Ragg to play this fixture in the Munster competition.

Offaly and Antrim will have to meet again after drawing 1-10 each in a gripping Division 3 National Camogie League final, while the Division 4 crown went to Meath.

Defending champions Derry got their bid to retain the U16B All Ireland Championship off to a good start.

IT was an historic Saturday afternoon for camogie with first-time winners of the All-Ireland Colleges titles in three grades.

CIARA Cullen has the necessary experience to help Donegal deliver interesting resistance against Tyrone in Sunday's Ulster Junior camogie championship semi-final at Burt.

Clare made it three wins from three in the National League in Walsh Park, Waterford on Sunday.

A very determined Wexford made amends for their recent Leinster semi-final defeat to Dublin when winning Sunday's National League Div 1 clash 1-15 to 2-4 at Kennedy Park, New Ross.
